About the role
The Hotel seeks a motivated Food & Beverage Captain to oversee the smooth operation of all dining outlets, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while leading a dynamic team in a high‑volume environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of restaurants, lounges and beverage service areas.
- Maintain high staff morale, foster teamwork and provide ongoing motivation.
- Schedule the F&B team, report hours worked and input rosters into the system.
- Coordinate food & beverage requirements for hotel events and functions.
- Ensure accurate billing for groups and individual guests.
- Train and coach new and existing team members.
- Participate in the Manager on Duty program for restaurant operations.
- Promote health & safety standards and support a safe work environment.
- Contribute to environmental and sustainability initiatives.
- Uphold hotel policies, code of ethics and deliver top‑level customer service.
- Cover shifts in other F&B departments as directed.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a four‑diamond hotel restaurant or lounge.
- At least 2 years progressive experience in a high‑volume hotel F&B setting.
- Strong knowledge of hotel food & beverage operations and product ranges.
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Proven leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
- Solid business acumen with understanding of hotel financial reporting.
Required skills
- Experience with Opera or a comparable property management system.
