Freelance Mechanical Engineer & Python AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Mechanical Engineer with strong Python expertise to help design and validate computational engineering problems for AI training projects. This is a project‑based, remote role that allows you to work part‑time while contributing to real‑world engineering challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational problems that simulate realistic engineering workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks requiring numerical methods, iterative solutions, and engineering calculations.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and reflect system design, optimization, and analysis.
• Base problem statements on actual research challenges or practical engineering applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas).
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research, or teaching experience in engineering or related domains.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Professional certifications or experience in international projects are a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Numerical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, or SQL (optional but beneficial).
• Knowledge of numerical methods and computational simulation techniques.
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.
