Governance Manager

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Governance Manager to lead the development and implementation of group policies, internal control frameworks, and assurance activities across its operations. Based in Amman, the role supports the company’s strategic objectives by ensuring robust risk management and compliance with legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in formulating long‑term departmental plans aligned with Hikma’s overall strategy.
• Lead the creation, update, and communication of Hikma Group policies, processes, and procedures.
• Draft, challenge, and maintain the internal control framework (ICFW) to meet regulatory standards.
• Research industry trends and adjust the internal controls and assurance annual plan accordingly.
• Supervise audit engagement teams to ensure efficient, policy‑compliant execution.
• Coordinate with other functions to align risk mitigation frameworks and manage the internal control environment.
• Maintain up‑to‑date policy documentation and team knowledge repositories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, or governance within a large organization.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to risk and control frameworks.
