Heart of House Specialist - Stewarding

About the role

The Heart of House Specialist supports the smooth operation of hotel food‑and‑beverage, kitchen and laundry areas by ensuring all linen, dishware and equipment are clean and ready for use. Working at our St. Regis property in Amman, you will join a team that keeps guest‑facing areas spotless and maintains high hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, transport and store dirty and clean dishware, glassware and linens across hotel departments.
• Operate and maintain dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, linen washers and dryers.
• Prepare fresh, clean linen and dining ware for guest service.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and uphold uniform and appearance standards.
• Assist other departments as needed, performing lifting, carrying and moving tasks up to 50 lb.

Required profile

• No formal education required; high school diploma or GED not mandatory.
• No prior experience in hospitality or cleaning required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to work full‑time in an onsite hotel environment.

Required skills

• Basic operation of commercial dish‑washing and linen‑washing equipment.
• Understanding of health‑and‑safety and sanitation standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork with other hotel staff.
