Human Resources Director

About the role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead the HR function, nurture a high‑performance culture, and align people practices with the hotel’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Create programmes that foster a positive work environment and administer the annual team‑member satisfaction survey.
• Educate and train managers on HR disciplines to boost productivity and performance.
• Maintain accurate personnel files, ensure hiring standards comply with laws, and build strong external relationships.
• Develop and manage the HR budget, monitor staffing and labor costs, and mitigate financial risks linked to employee relations.
• Inspire and motivate team members to deliver unique guest experiences, interact with guests for feedback, and collaborate with department managers on service‑standard initiatives.
• Promote the hotel’s employer brand in the local community, encourage team involvement, investigate workplace issues, and use data from exit interviews and turnover reports to identify trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent qualification).
• At least 4 years of relevant HR experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Professional HR designation preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.
• Fluency in the local language(s); additional languages are a plus.
