Kindergarten Teacher (KG) – Full-time

About the role

The International School of Choueifat – Amman is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten (KG) Teacher to join its on‑site team. This full‑time position involves delivering the SABIS® curriculum to children aged 3‑6, fostering early literacy, numeracy and social‑emotional growth in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons aligned with the SABIS® curriculum.
• Create engaging learning activities that develop literacy, numeracy and emotional skills.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, inclusive learning space.
• Monitor student progress, keep accurate records, and prepare regular reports.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing feedback on development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership on academic and extracurricular initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and school training programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Strong foundation in child development and best practices for learners aged 3‑6.
• Proven experience teaching kindergarten or early years, including classroom management and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with young learners, families and multicultural staff.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom that respects diverse backgrounds.
• Good organizational skills, reliability and a collaborative approach.
• Proficiency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
