Laboratory Director

About the role

The Laboratory Director will lead and continuously develop the laboratory services at Kingdom Health, ensuring accurate, timely diagnostic testing that supports clinical decision‑making and patient outcomes. This senior position combines strategic planning, operational oversight, and compliance with Jordan Ministry of Health regulations and international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement Laboratory Information System (LIS) and ERP platforms, designing workflows, test catalogues, pricing, sample tracking, inventory and billing integration.
• Coordinate system validation, user acceptance testing and go‑live activities with IT teams and vendors.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for LIS/ERP use, data governance and integration with the Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Lead change‑management and training programs to ensure staff competency and smooth adoption of new technologies.
• Oversee daily laboratory operations, quality assurance programs (IQC/EQA), and continuous compliance with CAP, JCI and ISO accreditation standards.
• Manage internal and external audits, corrective‑and‑preventive actions, and performance‑monitoring dashboards.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators, procurement, inventory and financial reporting.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of national regulations and international accreditation requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large‑scale IT implementations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
