Laboratory Technician

About the role

Elite Medical Care is seeking a full‑time Laboratory Technician to join its on‑site laboratory in Amman. You will perform routine and specialized tests, ensure accurate documentation, and support the delivery of high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests following standard operating procedures.
• Prepare, label, and handle specimens safely and efficiently.
• Operate, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and ensure proper documentation.
• Support quality‑control activities and monitor instrument performance.
• Adhere to laboratory safety, infection‑control, and biohazard protocols.
• Organize workstations, monitor inventory, and order supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with medical staff to provide timely and reliable test outcomes.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences or a related field.
• Practical experience as a laboratory technician or in a similar clinical laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with local licenses or certifications for laboratory practice in Amman (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
