Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Loss Prevention Officer to safeguard our property in Amman. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring security systems, and responding swiftly to incidents to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock entrances, conduct daily hazard inspections and report safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS when needed.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and call for external assistance.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unaided (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear communication in professional language and strong observational skills.
• Willingness to follow company policies, maintain uniform standards and protect proprietary information.
• Physical fitness to respond quickly to emergencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating CCTV and other security monitoring equipment.
• Experience with alarm and fire‑life‑safety system controls.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Basic computer skills for incident reporting and data entry.
