Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent interaction with guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical‑hazard inspections and resolve safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact EMS as needed.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies, defuse disturbances, and escort unwelcome persons.
• Prepare incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Follow company policies, report unsafe conditions, and ensure professional appearance.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unaided (75 lb with assistance).
• Physical fitness to respond quickly to emergencies and move at required speed.
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to work with diverse guests, including those with disabilities.
• Willingness to comply with licensing or registration requirements where applicable.
