Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires vigilance, quick decision‑making, and a professional presence on the premises.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms and entrances.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical‑hazard inspections and lock property entrances when required.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and call for external assistance when needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Assist guests, including those with disabilities, and ensure a welcoming environment.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Physical fitness to run, jog, or move quickly in response to emergencies.
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to comply with company policies, safety training, and licensing requirements where applicable.
