MEAL Coordinator (National Position)

About the role

AVSI is seeking a national MEAL Coordinator to lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities across its programmes in Jordan. The role works closely with the Head of Programs, Project Managers and the regional office to ensure data quality, reporting and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Establish reliable outcome and output indicators for all programme activities and new calls for proposals.
• Supervise the development of monitoring and evaluation plans aligned with project logical frameworks.
• Provide M&E support and capacity‑building workshops to partner organisations and community‑based organisations.
• Develop, update and disseminate Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines.
• Manage the Activity Info database and related software for all MEAL tasks.
• Prepare after‑action reviews and ensure timely compilation of internal and external progress and final reports.
• Coordinate field visits to verify data quality and accuracy.
• Oversee the Feedback, Complaint and Response mechanism for AVSI Jordan.
• Produce donor, authority and coordination‑agency reports, including JRP reporting on Activity Info.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional experience in MEAL within humanitarian or development organisations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with the Jordanian or broader MENA context is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Activity Info software for data management and reporting.
