Medical Scientific Liaison – CVRM

About the role

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) for Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism (CVRM) at AstraZeneca acts as a scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals. The role focuses on evidence‑based engagement, supporting product launches, medical education and research initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), healthcare professionals and stakeholders across the CVRM therapeutic area.
• Spend approximately 70% of time on field activities, including scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement and visit preparation.
• Develop and execute strategic KEE engagement plans with clear objectives and scientific alignment.
• Deliver balanced scientific updates and respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support pre‑ and post‑launch activities, diagnostics and brand strategy.
• Support local research initiatives, advisory boards, speaker training and external medical education programs.
• Provide internal expertise on therapeutic trends, clinical practice insights and competitive intelligence.
• Assist with formulary listings, product launches and AstraZeneca‑sponsored medical events.
