Network Administrator II

About the role

V2X is seeking a Network Administrator II to lead a team responsible for the design, maintenance, and security of LAN/WAN and wireless networks supporting military and civilian customers worldwide. The role reports to the NOC Chief Watch Officer and involves supervising subordinate network staff, troubleshooting complex network issues, and ensuring optimal network performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of VoIP phones, switches, wired and wireless routers, and encryption devices.
• Monitor availability and reliability of LAN/WAN and wireless networks, reporting outages and corrective actions to the NOC service desk.
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, wireless access points, routers, switches, and HAIPE encryption devices.
• Configure VLANs, ACLs, and manage network security procedures to meet DISA STIG compliance.
• Plan network development and expansion, perform sub‑netting, and provide training to new Network Administrator I personnel.
• Conduct disaster recovery operations, data backups, and provide advanced technical support to internal sites.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN troubleshooting and network security.
• Experience supervising technical staff and coordinating with multiple work sites.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in a mission‑critical environment.
