Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide break‑and‑fix services on an on‑call freelance basis across multiple locations in Jordan. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, network, and virtualization incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote break‑and‑fix support for networking and infrastructure issues.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization, and network problems.
• Resolve network connectivity issues (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on cloud‑related projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification with at least a 90 % pass score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer‑service orientation.
