Payments Processing Agent

About the role

The Payments Processing Agent ensures accurate and timely processing of payments related to settlements, client transactions, and financial adjustments. Working closely with finance, compliance, and client success teams, the role supports the company’s commitment to financial integrity and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Verify payment eligibility based on client agreements, internal policies, and settlement letters.
• Process payments to creditors, ensuring correct recipient details, amounts, and timely execution.
• Track and resolve late, missing, over‑ or under‑payments, including returned checks.
• Maintain thorough payment records in company systems and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Report discrepancies to the Payments Supervisor and collaborate with compliance teams on regulatory adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in payment processing, accounting, or financial operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of financial reporting tools.
• Understanding of payment reconciliation and transaction auditing.
