Piazza & Social Studies Teacher

About the role

Amman Academy is seeking a bilingual Piazza & Social Studies Teacher to join its Primary department. The role focuses on delivering inquiry‑based Science and Social Studies units to upper‑primary students while leveraging the flexible Piazza learning space.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement concept‑based, inquiry‑driven lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Facilitate small‑group instruction for UOI‑linked Science units and Arabic‑delivered Social Studies.
• Provide targeted differentiation and additional guided instruction outside the homeroom setting.
• Utilise the Piazza as a flexible learning environment to enhance collaboration and student engagement.
• Collaborate with homeroom and subject teachers for planning, co‑teaching, and student interventions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Primary Education or a related field (Science, Social Studies or Curriculum & Instruction background is an advantage).
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English with effective translanguaging practices.
• Experience teaching primary‑aged students, preferably within an IB PYP or inquiry‑based setting.
• Strong understanding of concept‑based, inquiry‑driven pedagogy.
