Programme Analyst – Economist & Innovative Finance

About the role

The Programme Analyst will support UNDP Jordan’s Financing for Development portfolio, focusing on innovative financing mechanisms that align public and private capital with the country’s Economic Modernisation Vision. The role contributes to the design and implementation of the Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) and the Jordan Valley Green Economic Corridor.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct economic and financial analysis to inform the INFF roadmap and green transition initiatives.
• Support the development of policy briefs, reports, and thematic studies on financing for development.
• Collaborate with government entities, private sector partners, and development cooperation agencies to mobilise financing.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating the impact of financing interventions against SDG targets.
• Provide technical input for the Jordan Valley Green Economic Corridor project.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Development Studies or a related field.
• Experience working on development finance, public‑private partnerships, or sustainable finance.
• Strong analytical and research skills with a focus on policy‑oriented outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
