Purchasing Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Purchasing Officer to join our team in Jordan. The role supports our procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods for domestic operations while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and processing purchase orders (POs) for domestic operations.
• Research supplier pricing and alternative sourcing options to support cost‑saving initiatives.
• Prepare materials for supplier negotiations and track negotiation outcomes.
• Participate in evaluating and qualifying external suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and flag reorder requirements.
• Maintain and update purchasing records, logs, and databases.
• Communicate with domestic suppliers regarding order status, lead times, and discrepancies.
• Support the purchasing team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing (preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
