Quality Assurance and Documentation Engineer

About the role

The Quality Assurance and Documentation Engineer ensures application quality, stability, and knowledge continuity across all systems. This role blends hands‑on testing with comprehensive technical documentation to make functional behavior, architecture, integrations and processes fully understood and repeatable.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute functional, regression and smoke tests for web, API, Windows client and mobile applications.
• Validate business requirements against implemented features and acceptance criteria.
• Test multi‑tenant scenarios, role‑based access, permission logic and external integrations such as payment gateways.
• Perform data validation on SQL Server to guarantee data accuracy and integrity.
• Log, track and verify defects using Jira or Azure DevOps, and support UAT and pre‑production validation.
• Validate deployment readiness for QA, UAT and production environments and conduct post‑deployment smoke testing.
• Create and maintain test plans, cases, scenarios and regression suites, and improve QA processes.
• Document application components, architecture, deployment flows and environment configurations, ensuring version‑controlled, accessible records.
• Lead knowledge‑capture activities during vendor transitions and support onboarding of new team members.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work closely with developers, DevOps and infrastructure teams.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting quality status and escalating risks.
• Experience in agile environments and participation in sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required skills

• SQL Server for data validation.
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and CI/CD quality gates.
