Quantity Surveyor Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

International Building Systems Factory (IBSF) is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join its manufacturing team. You will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting the financial success of our steel fabrication projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project specifications and prepare comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, identifying cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Participate in tendering activities, prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors or suppliers.
• Oversee contract negotiations, monitor contractor performance, and ensure compliance with terms.
• Conduct detailed quantity take‑offs and measurements for material requirements.
• Collaborate on value‑engineering initiatives to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
• Implement cost‑control measures, track variances, and report regularly.
• Identify cost‑related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain organized documentation of costs, contracts, and project progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with cost‑estimating and project‑management software.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
