SATCOM Operations & Maintenance Support

About the role

The SATCOM O&M Support role ensures the reliable day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of satellite communication terminals at Site 1 in Jordan. You will work with both tactical and commercial satellite equipment to keep communications links operational.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of satellite terminals and associated hardware.
• Operate and service satellite modems, redundancy switches, up/down converters, HPAs, LNAs, LNBs, waveguide joints, IF cables, antennas, antenna motors, SSPA, ACU, HVAC units, UPS and generators.
• Document technical actions for SAR, GAR, TSR, and ASI requests.
• Utilize test and diagnostic equipment such as power meters, spectrum analyzers, Firebird testers and volt meters.
• Support modem hub operations, including TDMA/FDMA modem configuration and fiber‑optic, coaxial and Ethernet cable management.

Required profile

• Active US Government Secret clearance (interim acceptable) and US citizenship.
• At least two years of experience with installation, repair, or maintenance of satellite communications systems.
• Two years of experience operating in a tactical satellite environment, handling antenna controllers, SSPA, LNA/LNB, converters, and modem equipment.
• Associate’s degree in Electronics preferred or equivalent certifications and experience.
• DoD 8140‑approved certifications (e.g., A+, Network+) or comparable training.
