Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position works on‑site at Al‑Hashemi Street, Aqaba, and requires a proactive approach to loss prevention and emergency handling.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access for guests.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarm, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Handle guest or employee disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and call for external assistance when needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
• Support guests with disabilities and ensure a welcoming environment.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read small print and visual cues.
• Professional appearance and adherence to company policies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
