Security Officer – Loss Prevention & Security

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Security Officer to patrol our property, ensure guest safety, and protect assets. The role involves monitoring security systems, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a secure environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock and unlock property entrances as required.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and report safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Prepare detailed incident and loss‑prevention reports.
• Escort unauthorized persons and handle vehicle accident or theft scenes.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and clear, courteous communication.
• Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
• Physical fitness to respond quickly to incidents.

Required skills

• CCTV monitoring.
