Senior Assessment Officer – Shelter & Site Management

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Assessment Officer to lead shelter and site management assessments for the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt). Based in Amman, Jordan, the officer will provide technical expertise to the REACH Initiative, ensuring high‑quality data collection, analysis and mapping to support humanitarian operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct shelter assessments and site surveys in the oPt.
• Collect, manage and analyse quantitative and qualitative data related to shelter needs.
• Produce GIS‑based maps and remote‑sensing products to visualise displacement and shelter conditions.
• Coordinate with field teams, partners and donors to ensure data quality and timely reporting.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for programme planning and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in humanitarian shelter assessments and site management.
• Demonstrated ability to work in conflict‑affected environments and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
