Senior Branch Manager

About the role

The Senior Branch Manager leads a Platinum or Titanium branch, driving liability targets, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining efficient branch operations while complying with regulatory requirements. The role oversees a team of 10‑15 staff, manages cash and service quality, and collaborates with product and marketing teams to execute campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Implement branch‑specific marketing and communication strategies to strengthen the Ujjivan brand.
• Drive liability business targets, retain existing customers, grow the customer base, and cross‑sell products.
• Oversee branch operations, cash management, ATM operations, and service quality.
• Monitor daily performance of staff, cascade targets, and conduct periodic reviews.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and other banking regulations; resolve audit observations.
• Control branch expenses and maintain security of cash and vault.
• Lead customer‑connect initiatives and reduce attrition through engagement programs.
• Coordinate training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions for the team.

Required profile

• Graduate in Commerce, Business, Economics or related field; PGDM/MBA preferred.
• 8‑12 years of core banking sales experience, including 2‑3 years as a Branch Manager.
• Managed a deposit book of INR 75‑300 Cr (or equivalent).
• Proven ability to lead a team of 7‑15 staff and achieve sales targets.
• Willingness to travel or relocate as business needs dictate.
