Senior Chargeback Officer

About the role

Network International is seeking a Senior Chargeback Officer to manage a critical part of its transaction cycle. You will ensure compliance with scheme dispute rules, work closely with banks, merchants and internal teams, and protect the company from chargeback losses.

Key responsibilities

• Validate representments on Visa Online, Mastercom and other scheme portals in line with scheme regulations.
• Retrieve and analyse supporting documents to prevent chargebacks from issuers.
• Monitor merchant emails for copy requests and daily chargeback notifications to avoid time gaps.
• Handle pre‑arbitration and pre‑compliance activities within scheme‑defined timelines.
• Maintain daily chargeback MIS records for accuracy.
• Prepare financial batches for chargebacks and debit merchants accordingly.
• Provide guidance to merchants, third‑party banks, schemes and internal stakeholders on chargeback queries.
• Implement changes based on bi‑annual scheme regulation updates to ensure ongoing compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years experience in chargebacks, dispute management, card operations, payments operations or merchant acquiring.
• Prior experience in a bank, fintech, payment service provider, card processor or acquiring institution is highly preferred.
