Senior Data Architect – Azure (Fabric & Databricks)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑scale data platforms built on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. The role will shape modern lakehouse solutions that support analytics, AI, and emerging GenAI workloads across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks.
• Define lakehouse and medallion architecture patterns and data‑modeling standards.
• Establish data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Lead integration of structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data sources.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with AI and analytics teams to enable advanced AI/ML and GenAI workloads.
• Define CI/CD strategies and DevOps best practices for data platforms.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric components (OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse).
• Deep knowledge of Azure Databricks, including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
• Proven experience designing lakehouse and medallion architectures.
• Solid understanding of data security, RBAC, and Azure networking.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
• Experience supporting AI/GenAI platforms is desirable.
