Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Foodics is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own critical pieces of its restaurant‑management platform. You will work closely with Product, design solutions, ship them, and ensure they run smoothly in production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end development of new features, from requirement refinement to production monitoring.
• Drive technical design for major system changes and set coding standards for the backend team.
• Mentor junior engineers while staying open to learning from peers.
• Identify opportunities to improve the technology stack and implement pragmatic enhancements.
• Operate autonomously: spot problems, propose solutions, and see them through without micromanagement.

Required profile

• Strong backend expertise with modern PHP (7/8+) and solid object‑oriented design.
• Proficiency in building production‑ready React/TypeScript front‑end features.
• Experience with high‑traffic web applications, including caching, queueing, idempotency and observability.
• Hands‑on knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, including query optimization.
• Ability to design and consume robust HTTP APIs and handle third‑party reliability issues.
• Comfort using AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) with a critical eye.
• Effective collaboration with Product Managers to refine requirements and push back when needed.
