Senior Retirement Consultant – Actuarial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Retirement Consultant provides actuarial expertise to help clients design, manage, and evaluate retirement benefit plans. You will work within a dynamic consulting team, delivering valuation support and strategic analysis for defined‑benefit and end‑of‑service schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Support all aspects of pension consulting, including benefit strategy design and client correspondence.
• Prepare agendas, papers, and minutes for trustees’ meetings and attend client meetings.
• Provide actuarial valuation services for defined benefit plans, including coding, client communication, and meeting participation.
• Perform calculations and analyses for special retirement projects such as assumption studies, plan design, terminations, early‑retirement windows, and post‑retiree medical studies.
• Collect, validate, and analyze participant data to ensure accuracy in actuarial models.
• Build and maintain actuarial models to project future pension costs and funding scenarios.
• Assist senior consultants with day‑to‑day client contact and problem resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Progress toward actuarial professional qualifications.
• Strong quantitative and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Team‑oriented mindset and genuine interest in retirement consulting.
