SOC Manager

About the role

FutureTEC is seeking an experienced SOC Manager to lead its 24x7 Security Operations Center across the Middle East. The role combines technical depth with operational discipline, people leadership, and strategic vision to continuously mature the security monitoring and detection capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage 24x7 SOC operations, including monitoring, detection, investigation, incident response and escalation.
• Plan resources, manage shifts, mentor staff and develop team capabilities.
• Develop and maintain SIEM use cases, correlation rules, detection strategies and monitoring coverage.
• Oversee security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, NDR, WAF, IAM, vulnerability management, threat intelligence and security analytics.
• Direct incident response, threat hunting, security investigations and major incident management.
• Define and improve SOC processes, playbooks, runbooks, escalation procedures and operational standards.
• Measure SOC performance using KPIs, KRIs, SLAs, MTTD, MTTR, detection coverage and alert quality.
• Drive SOC transformation, technology implementation, migration, optimisation and automation initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Manage relationships with vendors, MSSP partners, customers and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security or SOC operations.
• Proven leadership of 24x7 SOC environments.
• Strong practical experience with SIEM platforms (FortiSIEM, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or equivalents).
• Extensive background in incident response, threat hunting and security investigations.
• Experience managing and developing technical security teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication and decision‑making abilities.
