Stewarding Attendant – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

The Stewarding Attendant ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation across the kitchen and service areas of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba. Working closely with the Chief Steward and kitchen team, you will support daily operations, banquets and high‑volume events while maintaining compliance with hotel, HACCP and health‑safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans and glassware using commercial dishwashing machines.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, sinks, drains and storage areas.
• Collect, separate and dispose of waste according to hotel environmental standards.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely, ensuring proper labeling and dilution.
• Report damaged equipment, blocked drains or any maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Support the kitchen team during banquets, events and high‑volume service by providing clean equipment and utensils.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or stewarding environment is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to stand, lift, bend and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Basic communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Proper chemical handling, dilution and storage practices.
