Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, staging, and organizing merchandise within the hotel premises. This role ensures that all inventory is stored safely, rotated properly, and readily available for the various departments.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate areas.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and maintain food safety standards.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
