Structural Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join SolarShade’s engineering team in Amman. You will design mounting structures and civil foundations for residential and commercial solar projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of strength, durability and corrosion protection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structural designs for solar panel mounting systems and related foundations.
• Prepare structural calculation reports and perform site evaluations.
• Create general arrangement and fabrication drawings.
• Conduct stability and strength analysis using STAAD.Pro.
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet project deadlines and deliver high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 0‑2 years of experience in steel and aluminum structural design.
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, Tekla, AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Familiarity with design codes such as ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318, ASD and AISI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Enthusiasm for renewable‑energy projects.
• Based in Amman, Jordan.
