About the role

The Tailor ensures that guest clothing and employee uniforms are maintained to the highest standards of quality and appearance. Working within the hotel’s housekeeping and laundry department, you will provide timely repairs, alterations, and inventory management for all garments.

Key responsibilities

• Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms using hand stitching, adhesive patches, or a sewing machine.
• Distribute clean uniforms to staff according to company specifications and record all movements.
• Send damaged items to the appropriate repair location (seamstress, housekeeping, or external vendor).
• Document guest requests for laundry, dry‑cleaning, minor repairs, and pressing.
• Inspect uniforms for damage, remove substandard items from circulation, and issue replacements.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of related work experience in garment repair or tailoring.
• No specific educational requirement (high school diploma or GED not mandatory).
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
