Technical Team Leader

About the role

The Technical Team Leader will guide a software development team through full project lifecycles, ensuring high‑quality delivery that aligns with product and business goals. This role bridges developers and management, providing both technical direction and functional coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development team, participate in architecture discussions and finalize technology choices.
• Estimate tasks, set timelines, and track progress against sprint cycles.
• Review and approve code, enforce feature/branch freezes, and manage testing deadlines.
• Produce testing reports, monitor KPIs such as code quality, test coverage and bug ratios.
• Coordinate with BAs, PMs, UI/UX, QA and services teams to keep user stories clear and up‑to‑date.
• Communicate risks, delays or quality issues early to stakeholders.
• Mentor developers, conduct performance appraisals and maintain an 85%+ on‑time delivery rate.
• Follow internal release policies, document lessons learned and ensure compliance with security and business standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of software development experience, including 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage a team, estimate work and deliver projects on schedule.
