Accountant – Full-time, On-site in Amman

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Accountant to join our Amman office. The successful candidate will manage daily financial operations, ensure accurate record‑keeping, and provide insightful financial reporting for a leading medical‑technology supplier.

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions, maintain general‑ledger entries and prepare journal vouchers.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and perform timely bank reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense tracking.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Maintain internal controls and deliver clear financial reports to management.

Required profile

• Strong foundational accounting knowledge, including GL management and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
• Good understanding of local tax laws and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and numerical reasoning abilities.
• Attention to detail, accurate data entry and strong organisational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Experience in healthcare, medical‑supplies or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
