AI Engineer – 2+ Years Experience

About the role

CartBuzz is seeking a full‑time, on‑site AI Engineer to join its team in Amman, Jordan. You will design, develop, and deploy AI‑driven solutions that power recommendation systems, search optimization, and intelligent experiences for buyers and sellers on our e‑commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build, train, fine‑tune, and evaluate machine‑learning and deep‑learning models.
• Integrate AI models into production systems and serve them via APIs.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to deliver scalable, high‑performance features.
• Conduct experiments, monitor metrics, and iterate based on real‑world data.
• Participate in code reviews, write documentation, and promote best practices for AI development.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and software development.
• Hands‑on experience with ML/DL, including model training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Practical experience with NLP and Large Language Models, such as conversational AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, and chatbots.
• Experience with multimodal models (e.g., Image‑to‑Text, Text‑to‑Image) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field and at least 2 years of relevant AI/ML engineering experience.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and willingness to work on‑site in Amman.
