AI/ML Lead – Maternal Health Predictive Models

About the role

GraviLog is seeking an AI/ML Lead to own and advance predictive risk models for maternal and fetal health. This remote, flexible, part‑time position currently offers no salary but includes a clear path to paid compensation as the company secures funding and traction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real‑time predictive models using patient‑reported symptoms and health data.
• Validate model performance with a focus on minimizing false‑negatives in high‑stakes clinical scenarios.
• Collaborate directly with OB/GYN and clinical dietitian advisors to ensure model outputs align with clinical judgment.
• Guide and review the work of contributing developers, fostering best practices in AI development.

Required profile

• Medical background (MD, clinical research) or several years of AI/ML experience in healthcare risk prediction.
• Proven track record of shipping models into production, not just research prototypes.
• Familiarity with health data standards (FHIR, HL7) and regulated patient data handling.

Required skills

• Python (including ML/LLM libraries).
• Cloud deployment experience, preferably GCP and Vertex AI.
• Health data standards: FHIR, HL7.
• Model validation for high‑stakes, regulated predictions.
