Architect - Residential & Commercial Buildings

About the role

Smeirat Architects, an architecture and engineering office in Amman, is looking for an architect with 3 to 7 years of experience to take residential projects from the first sketch to the building permit. The architect works directly with the office principals and presents designs to clients themselves.

Key responsibilities

• Design villas and residential buildings from brief through technical design, alongside commercial and mixed-use projects
• Prepare permit submissions and follow them up with GAM, municipalities, the Jordan Engineers Association and Civil Defense
• Model and document projects in Revit
• Study massing and design options in SketchUp
• Produce renders and presentation material for client meetings
• Coordinate with the structural and MEP engineers in the office

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
• Registered with the Jordan Engineers Association
• 3 to 7 years of experience in an architecture office
• Portfolio of own design work, including villas and residential projects you designed, not just drawings, and site visits during construction

Required skills

• Revit (required)
• SketchUp, AutoCAD
• Rendering in Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray or D5
• Experience preparing building permit submissions in Jordan
