QA/QC Manager - Irrigation Network Rehabilitation

About the role

Hussein Atieh & Sons Co. (HAE), a Jordanian general contractor founded in 1961 with offices in Jordan, Palestine and Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager for its Rehabilitation of Irrigation Networks project in Ghor Al-Safi / Jordan Valley. The company is an EPC and turnkey contractor active in water and sewerage networks, wastewater treatment, drinking water plants and road construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, approved drawings, standards and QA/QC procedures.
• Prepare, review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, method statements and quality records.
• Coordinate and supervise material inspections and laboratory testing, including soil compaction, bedding and backfilling, concrete compressive strength, asphalt testing, aggregate testing, pipe testing and other field and lab tests.
• Verify that materials comply with approved submittals, specifications and international standards.
• Monitor site construction activities and initiate corrective and preventive actions where needed.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with the Employer, Engineer, approved laboratories and subcontractors.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, quality audits and documentation.
• Prepare and submit quality reports and keep complete QA/QC records for testing, commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 15 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years as a QA/QC Manager on water supply, wastewater, irrigation or treated sewage effluent projects.
• Proven experience implementing and managing QMS for infrastructure projects.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, material inspections, testing and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with project specifications, international standards and contract requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership and reporting skills.
