Assistant Manager – Crisis & Emergency Management Services

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join its Crisis & Emergency Management Services team in Amman. You will support the delivery of crisis, emergency, and resilience engagements for clients across the region, applying international standards such as ISO 22361 and relevant national frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage crisis and emergency management engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness and client alignment.
• Apply ISO 22361 and national frameworks to design governance, response structures, playbooks and escalation processes.
• Conduct maturity and gap assessments, develop remediation roadmaps and support implementation of resilience programs.
• Design and facilitate crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, scenario development and after‑action reviews.
• Manage project workstreams including scope, timelines, budgets, deliverables and stakeholder coordination.
• Produce executive‑ready deliverables such as frameworks, playbooks, assessment reports and dashboards.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
• Coach junior team members and share knowledge across the practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in crisis management, emergency management, business continuity or organizational resilience.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 22361 and experience applying national crisis management frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience delivering crisis or resilience engagements, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Proven project and stakeholder management capabilities.

Required skills

• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
