Civil Engineering Consultant – Transmission Projects

About the role

The Civil Engineering Consultant will support NEPCO’s transmission and substation projects by providing technical expertise in civil and infrastructure design, review, and assessment. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Amman and works closely with internal engineering, project management, and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate design documents, drawings, and specifications for compliance with codes and company standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, and tender evaluations.
• Conduct site visits, inspect construction activities, and monitor contractor performance.
• Support quality control and assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve technical issues and manage risks.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in civil engineering and infrastructure, preferably in utilities or energy‑related facilities.
• Practical experience in geotechnical engineering, including soil investigations, foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks assessment.
• Consulting experience with the ability to advise stakeholders and prepare clear technical recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional engineer registration is a plus.
