Commis II (Casual) – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Commis II (Casual) supports the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality meals and ensuring smooth operations in a busy hotel environment. This full‑time position is based at the Westin hotel on Al‑Hashemi Street, Aqaba.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures; pull and thaw items from freezer storage.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, garnish dishes, and ensure overall food quality.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and excess food usage to chefs and service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions.
• Uphold professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
