Coordination & Technical Support for National VAC Preparatory Sessions (Remote)

About the role

This consultancy supports UNICEF country offices in preparing for the Second Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children (VAC). The consultant will provide coordination and technical assistance to ensure effective national participation and high‑quality contributions to the conference.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate national preparatory sessions and coordinate multi‑country processes.
• Strengthen collaboration across regions and support the development of national pledges.
• Engage governments, UN agencies, and development partners throughout the preparation period.
• Work closely with UNICEF country offices and the global VAC team to align activities.
• Support policy dialogue, high‑level consultations, workshops, and meetings.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Development Management, Human Rights, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in international development or public policy, including at least 3 years in child protection or VAC programming, policy, or advocacy.
• Proven experience facilitating multi‑country or regional processes.
• Experience working with governments, UNICEF, UN agencies, and development partners.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in the Amman time zone.

Required skills

• Strong drafting, coordination and communication abilities.
• Good understanding of VAC prevention, systems strengthening and global frameworks such as INSPIRE.
