Country Manager Southwest Asia

About the role

PUMPUM is seeking a dynamic Country Manager to lead its impact programmes across Jordan, Lebanon and the Palestinian Territories. You will oversee a network of freelance country representatives, build strategic partnerships, and drive sustainable growth for SMEs within the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of eight freelance country representatives, ensuring high‑quality engagement with change‑driven SMEs.
• Develop and implement the Country Impact Plan (CIP) aligned with PUMPUM’s mission and strategic goals.
• Strengthen business ecosystems through strategic analysis, partnership building and collaboration with entrepreneurs and supporting organisations.
• Identify, develop and secure funding from institutional donors, foundations, corporate partners and other sponsors.
• Manage client relationships post‑acquisition, guaranteeing continuity, quality of service and strategic alignment.
• Organise regular country team meetings, monitor performance and maintain team motivation and accountability.
• Qualify new clients using established assessment criteria and ensure a robust pipeline of participants.

Required profile

• Extensive local network with SMEs and ecosystem partners in Jordan, Lebanon and the Palestinian Territories.
• Proven experience in programme management, fundraising and leading distributed teams.
• Strong ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
• Results‑driven mindset with a track record of delivering impact‑focused initiatives.
