Courier – Delivery & Pickup Specialist

About the role

The Courier is responsible for sorting, delivering and picking up all inbound and outbound shipments within the service area assigned by DHL. The role ensures that every shipment is handled according to DHL quality standards and that customers receive reliable, professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries for each cycle promptly and professionally, adhering to DHL standards.
• Perform shipment scanning, system updates, and data downloads to guarantee accurate and timely information for the network.
• Prepare and verify all required paperwork for pickups and deliveries before freight is re‑weighed.
• Maintain a proactive approach to freight, facility and personnel security, suggesting improvements to meet KPI targets.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, upholding DHL’s professional image.
• Promote and sell value‑added services such as TDD, Import Express, and Insurance, contributing to revenue goals.
• Coordinate with dispatch to ensure pickups and requests are actioned within agreed timeframes.
• Keep the vehicle clean and drive safely, complying with traffic regulations and DHL safety procedures.
• Follow ISO ground‑operation procedures, company policies, and dress code at all times.
