DEERS Operations Specialist (USN)

About the role

The DEERS Operations Specialist supports the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) DEERS/RAPIDS site at JTC Zarqa, Jordan. You will ensure accurate identity management, customer service, and compliance with DoD regulations during established support hours.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the DEERS/RAPIDS system in line with DMDC policies and DoD regulations.
• Manage customer appointments, walk‑ins, and ID card issuance while maintaining service standards.
• Verify eligibility documentation, update DEERS profiles, and process dependent record changes.
• Perform Site Security Manager duties, including audit trail reviews and workstation security enforcement.
• Generate monthly Transaction and Periodic Summary reports and maintain required documentation.
• Ensure equipment, systems, and workstations remain secure and operational.
• Maintain administrative files per AR 25‑400‑2 and related DoD guidance.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Minimum one year of professional customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and passport with at least 12 months validity.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC) and authorized entry onto U.S. military installations.

Required skills

• Computer operation and proficiency with multiple software applications.
• DEERS/RAPIDS system usage (certification required).
• Understanding of DMDC security protocols and CAC requirements.
