DSST Supply Technician I

About the role

The DSST Supply Technician I provides essential supply support for Signal Company DSST units, ensuring parts and equipment are tracked, managed, and delivered to forward‑based locations. This position works closely with LNEC officers, TLSF supervisors, and warehouse facilities to maintain inventory readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate repair parts and track usage for each site with LNEC OIC and remote technicians.
• Work with TLSF for repair support, return of system components, and spare‑parts logistics within the local area of responsibility.
• Manage inventory of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies and equipment.
• Reconcile documentation on receipts, storage, and financial discrepancies.
• Provide status updates on job‑ordered items using manual or automated systems and maintain prescribed load lists per AR 710‑2.
• Assist LNECs in sourcing hard‑to‑obtain parts from alternate suppliers.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and prolonged standing or sitting.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Eligibility for a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and Common Access Card (CAC); Secret clearance preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Compliance with government HAZMAT certification requirements.
• One year of related experience or academic study.
