DSST Supply Technician I

About the role

The DSST Supply Technician I provides essential supply support for Signal Company DSST units, ensuring parts and equipment are tracked, stocked, and delivered to forward‑based locations. Working under the TLSF Supply supervisor, the technician coordinates repair parts, manages inventory, and supports logistics across the area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with LNEC officers and remote technicians to track and ship repair parts for each site.
• Work with the TLSF and 160th TLSF warehouse to obtain spare parts and manage returns of system components.
• Maintain inventory of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies and equipment, in accordance with AR 710‑2.
• Reconcile documentation on receipts, storage, and financial discrepancies.
• Provide status updates on job‑ordered items using manual or automated systems and maintain prescribed load lists.
• Assist LNECs in sourcing hard‑to‑obtain parts from alternate suppliers.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and prolonged standing or sitting.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and a Common Access Card (CAC); Secret clearance preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Compliance with host‑nation visa and driver’s‑license requirements.
• One year of related experience or academic study.
• Current HAZMAT certification and OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER and 10‑hour General Industry certificates.
